You Said You Wanted to be a Better DB

Then how come....

No Knowledge, No Advancement

You are reading this email because somewhere along the line you said you wanted to be a better DB, coach or parent of a DB.

Let’s do that. Follow through

As mentioned yesterday, the All Eyes DB Camp Member’s Area has moved. Not only has it moved but we have developed a whole community. Yes, I know there is an investment to be a member (you should be willing to invest in yourself), however, if you aren’t willing or able to do that, at least join the community. That part just requires a short investment of time.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Go to https://members.alleyesdbcamp.com

  2. Register for an account

  3. Join the All Eyes DB Camp Community

That’s it. I am not going to sit here and hype it up. I am going to just let the platform speak for itself.

I am not going to tell you how you will 10x your DB knowledge, get better technique, become faster, grab more INTs, understand coverages better and become a better playmaker. I won’t do that….. not at all. I am going to let you see that for yourself.

Unless of course, you just want to stay where you are and get the same results. In that case, just ignore this email. It wasn’t intended for you. My bad.

Sauce Off Social Media

Reports are that Sauce Gardner has deactivated all of his social media because he’s tired of all the negativity. I don’t know how true that is but it does bring to mind how difficult it is to operate as a defensive back in this day in age.

If you are going to be on social media, especially during the season, then you better be able to handle the criticism because there will be a ton of it.

With every pass you allow, someone will have something to say. Fans are important to the game of football but rarely are they ever realistic. If you find yourself trying to live up to their expectations then you will find yourself depressed.

Be sure that you can handle the criticism the same way you love the praise. If you can’t, my suggestion is, take a break from it during the season. Focus 100% on the mission. You’ll be surprised how much people will respect that.

If you are really savvy, you can get someone you trust to run your socials while you are In season. They can be your shield from the bs while also continuing to promote your message / brand during the season while everyone is in football mode.

The first step when coming out of your breaks

Most defensive backs make the same critical mistake when coming out of their breaks.

They always skip step one…

They jump directly into steps two and three… turning on their jets and scanning for the ball…

But even though steps two and three are important…

Forgetting step one is the reason you’re sluggish out of your breaks.

Yet, it’s the easiest step of all three.

Did You Know…..

Pass breaks up did not become an official stat in the NFL until 1999
