All Eyes News: Winners Have Resources
Are you using all of yours...
Ever wondered why one team wins more than another, why one program is always on top or why one player just always seems to be the one that makes the play? It’s resources.
If one team has access to better coaching, better scouting reports and yes, better players, they are going to be doing all the winning. If that program also has access to better equipment, weights and fields, you can bet that they will win more titles than the rest. If that player has has access to better film, coaching and information, they’ll be around the football more and often times in the end zone with it.
So what are your resources? Many of us have resources all around us and are not aware of it. Others know it and just don’t use them. Are you one of these?
I’ve played with guys that never cracked open their playbook. There were also guys that didn’t go in the weight room unless they were forced to and others who wouldn’t watch film. Most of them flamed out or never saw the field. A couple others had success but it was brief and the fall off was hard.
Success is not an accident. Players and coaches who take full advantage of their resources are often the ones who reap all of the benefits.
So again….. what are your resources? How bad do you want it? Take advantage of all of your resources and watch how all the success you wished for comes true.

Avoid These 5 Mistakes that Many DBs Make
Proper Technique in Coverage: Defensive backs need sound coverage techniques, including footwork and hip rotation, to prevent separation from receivers.
Maintaining Eye Discipline: Focusing on the receiver’s hips rather than the backfield helps defensive backs react quickly and avoid missed assignments.
Effective Communication: Clear communication among defensive backs is crucial for managing zone coverage and adapting to offensive shifts.
Avoiding Overcommitment: Staying disciplined and patient helps defensive backs avoid being beaten on double moves or deep passes.
Improving Tackling Technique: Proper tackling form and physicality are essential for stopping offensive gains and protecting the defense.

Most Interceptions in a Career in High School Football
Ever wondered what is the record for the most interceptions in a career by a high school player and if you had a chance at breaking it?
Maybe you could but it won’t be easy….
Baron Jackson - Southern Lab HS, LA 1984-1987 - 62 interceptions
Baron Jackson averaged nearly 16 interceptions in four seasons to jump to the top of the MaxPreps list of all-time national interception leaders during his time at Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, La.) from 1984 to 1987.
Jackson opened his freshman year with 14 interceptions and followed with 16 as a sophomore, including five in one game. He had his best season as a junior, grabbing 21 interceptions, while finishing his senior year with 11.
That’s just incredible!
